Vikingo a Caballo 850 d.C

      Esta nueva entrada en el blog la dedico a una figura que me gustó muchísimo en cuanto la vi. Se trata de un personaje desconocido, pero es una de las sociedades que mas incognitas puede despertar en cuanto a su cultura, ya que solemos tener una idea preconcebida de ella.

      In this new post,  I dedicate to one figure that I really liked when I saw it. It is an unknown character, but it is one of the societies  that can raise more questions about their culture, and we usually have a preconceived idea about  this culture.

Idea original

      Es una figura que admite muchas situaciones, ya que es una figura muy dinámica, con mucho movimiento, que puede hacer un conjunto perfecto con alguna otra figura. Por ejemplo una escena de batalla en la que haya otro personaje a pie con el que luche. Una segunda opción es la de un enemigo tumbado y derrotado, posiblemente vencido o muerto, todo depende del dramatismo que se le quiera dar a la escena.

      It is a figure that supports many situations, as it is a very dynamic figure, with a lot of movement, which can make a perfect set with some other figure. For example a battle scene in which one character on foot to fight in it. A second option is to  an enemy defeated  possibly beaten or killed, all depends on the drama that we want to give the scene.

      Para esta figura he elegido un esquema de color particular. Con colores terrosos ( tierra o tambien otoñales). No he elegido la típica escena de nieve, porque me parece que esta cultura ha sido una gran conquistadora, y los pasies que podían invadir no necesariamente tendrían que tener nieve.

      Jugando con un editor de imágenes común, podemos hacer el esquema que deseemos para nuestras figuras. El esquema del "boxart" es el de la izquierda, mientras que el que yo quiero es el de la derecha.

      For this figure I have chosen a particular color scheme. With earthy colors ( land or also  autumn). I didn't chose the typical snow scene, because I think that this culture has been a great conqueror, and that could invade pasies not necessarily have to have snow.

      Playing with a common image editor, we can make the scheme we want for our figures. The scheme of "boxart" is at the left, while I want is at the right.

       Tengo que decir que una vez que montas el kit, el personaje mira hacia abajo. Por lo tanto, mi sugerencia es inclinar la figura hacia atrás, para que el personaje casi mire hacia adelante.

      Sin más, me pongo con el wip.

      I have to say that once you mount the kit, the character looks down. So my suggestion is to tilt the figure  backward to the character and we can get almost look ahead.

Proceso

      Comenzaré por el jinete. Están aplicados los colores, las luces y sombras, pero no hay ningún trabajo de desgaste en los materiales como las ropas o la capa. Una vez monte el jinete en el caballo, ambientaré al personaje con todos los desgastes y ambientación de la batalla.

      I'll begin with the rider. I applied the colors, lights and shadows, but there isn't  any work on wear on materials like clothes or layer. After mounting the rider on the horse, i'll decorate the character with all the wear and ambience of the battle.

        

   

      En cuanto al caballo, me he fijado en una figura pintada por Danilo Cartacci. Concretamente la raza del caballo de la figura de Cartacci es un Bayo oscuro. El esquema de color que he elegido cambia un poco con relación al de Cartacci.

      As for the horse, I noticed a figure painted by Danilo Cartacci. Specifically race horse Cartacci figure is a dark bay. The color scheme I chose changes slightly with respect to the Cartacci.

 

      La Escena. Este apartado me ha conducido a  un trabajo de interpretación de la posición de la figura. Tenía que tener en cuenta la posición de la figura, osea echada hacia atrás. En esta posición tengo una pendiente lateral muy pronunciada, la cual la tengo que respetar, para que el terreno sea coherente con la figura.

      The Scene. This part has conduced me a work of interpretation of the position of figure. Had to take into account the position of the figure,backward. In this position I have a very steep side slope, which I have to observe, that the field is coherent with Figure.

     

      

    

 

    

      

  

 

   

 

   

      Por fin, ayer monté el jinete en el caballo. La verdad que la sensación que da la figura es muy fuerte. En cuanto tenga algo de tiempo cuelgo mas fotografías del final de proceso. Espero poder llegar al concurso que se va a celebrar en la ciudad de Leganés en Madrid el 9 de marzo....solo me queda una semana. Ahora es cuando los detalles consiguen que la figura tome vida.

      Finally, yesterday i put the rider on the horse. The truth that the feel is very strong figure. Whenever I get some time to hang more pictures of the end of the process. Hopefully I can get to the contest to be held in the town of Leganes in Madrid on March 9 .... i only have a week!!!!!. Now is when the details obtain the  figure come alive.

   

 

   

      Me queda mucho por hacer. Poner cada uno de los detalles.
